hi guys. nice to hear your updates. teaching is treating me well. My students came in with some amazing work yesterday for their second critiques--collaging a mythological being of their invention--that left me feeling very happy.
have to start applying for jobs for next year now.
i really enjoyed seeing your show kelly!
there is an interesting talk at the weatherspoon next week. I might not be able to go, but thought you might like to hear about it.

howdy
Sounds good. I don't expect we'll be hearing a lot from Peter while he's away. I'm already so curious to hear about what's going on there....
I couldn't help myself and started another blog. Please check it out! LookSee ListenHear The title is different from the url cause some person has it already.
I applied to 2 gallery assistant gigs with no dice so far. Better responses from galleries about work, although tentative.

howdy crew!
Just thought I'd post a hello see how everyone was doing.
I'm doing good. I've got my shop set up with some new tools and I'm trying to crank out new work. I'm keeping Finn a few days and trying to pick up work at the local art museums for some dollars.
I've sent out a decent number of submissions to galleries but haven't heard much back yet.

Thinking about Durham
Hello Friends,
I mentioned this briefly the other day but I know someone who organized a program that brought George Rousse to Durham to do some projects in some of the empty buildings in the downtown area. link
It was very successful and a lot of people came out.
I emailed him today about possible alternative spaces in Durham where we could set up a gallery space for a month or so. He didn't know of anything that was free but he knew of a couple of spaces that we might could get for a fee (which hopefully wouldn't be too great). I am familiar with a couple of these spaces and they have given artists breaks in the past. Is anyone interested in pursuing this?
We could set it up to coincide with other openings and just open it up a few days a week for a month or so. I could maybe get our postcard at the desk at the Nasher and at Branch gallery.
Frank, who I asked about this, wanted to know about a time frame. Any ideas? sooner? later?
How much would people be interesting in putting in financially if we did something like this?
